Migraine and headaches

Headaches and migraine
Headaches and migraine

Having a migraine is much more than a bad headache. If you suffer from chronic migraines you don’t need me to tell you how vicious and soul-destroying it can be. You might also have tried lots of different medications without much benefit but plenty of side effects. And maybe you are thinking of giving natural solutions a try.

The good news is that there is plenty of scientific evidence that supplements and herbal remedies can help to reduce the frequency and severity of attacks. After all, it's better to prevent them from starting than to try to treat them.

With migraines, as with many other conditions, it is important to consider the root cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. And, when it comes to migraines there are numerous potential triggers. A symptom diary can really help with this, especially when they are triggered by certain foods.

Acupuncture can also be very effective for headaches and migraines, especially those headaches relating to tension or stress. Research suggests that acupuncture offers a safe and effective treatment. In fact, researchers say acupuncture is at least as effective for migraine prevention as conventional medicine.
